Water Sculpture DreamWave E-Sculpture

DreamWave

DreamWave Sculpture makes metaphorical reference to an important aspect of the history of the City of Hollywood. The DreamWave Sculpture refers to the dream of Hollywood's founder, Joseph W. Young, in which he had a vision to create the plan for the City. Originating from the location of the existing statue of Mr. Young at the western entrance to the park, a pattern depicting a typical human brain wave in the dream state extends to the central platform where the Water Sculpture takes place. Terrazzo, with shell ingredients embedded in the pavement, is used to create this pattern.
